In Virginia, Platt managed former Sen. Chuck Robb’s winning gubernatorial campaign against Oliver North. For this, her colleagues nationally awarded her the “Pollie Award” for Campaign Manager of the Year. And in a recent campaign for Lt. Governor, Susan Platt captured the fourth highest vote total in any Democratic Primary for Lt. Governor in the history of the Commonwealth of Virginia despite merely a 4-month race and being outspent by 4 to 1. Susan combines her strength on the issues with her long-lasting relationships and gets the job done for her clients.

Susan S. Platt served as Chief of Staff to Senator Joseph R. Biden during 1994-96 election cycle as U.S. Senator from Delaware. Responsible for administration of Senate office and State offices, liaison with Senate leadership staff, legislative staff, political entities and constituents. She provided issue and political intelligence to the Senator on all matters relative to the business of the U.S. Senate.
Campaign Manager
Senator Charles S. Robb’s (D-VA) Campaign during his 1994 bid for reelection against Lt. Colonel Oliver North was managed by Susan S. Platt. For her work on this campaign, she was recognized by the American Association of Political Consultants with a Pollie Award for Campaign Manager of the Year for the 1994 election cycle.
