Susan Platt is a legislative and political consultant and an advocate for women’s place in politics. She managed Senator Chuck Robb’s statewide campaign and served as chief of staff for then Senator Joe Biden. Susan founded The Farm Team, an initiative that grew and became part of the Emerge organization dedicated to empowering women in the political arena. This the stage for electing women at all levels of state and federal offices. The number of women in elected office has since doubled giving parity with men in elected office.
I think I was born restless. Always on the go, always looking for the next challenge. And the one after that. It was inevitable that I’d end up in Washington, DC.

After losing her mother at 8 years old and losing her husband after 43 years of marriage, Susan Platt gives hope and encouragement to everyone who has experienced love and loss. Thirty years after starting a successful career in politics, she now sets out to write a series of unlikely stories of loss, love and finding purpose.
